What we believe...

The Bible

God is the Great Communicator.  God spoke and the world came into being. The Holy Spirit supernaturally enabled the prophets and Apostles to author their writings without error or omissions in the original Texts.

The Bible is sufficient for knowledge for our salvation and obedience to God.

God is

God is of one and yet three persons,  the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

God is also self-existent.  God is not created, He has always been.  He is immortal, self-sufficient, independent, and indestructible.

God is Holy

God is holy in two ways.  First, He is holy, meaning He is completely distinct as a Being from everything else, since He created everything else.

Second, God is holy, meaning He is perfectly morally excellent. God is just. God's righteousness is his perfect nature. Everything God does is right, it is good, and we can trust Him. All the sin of His creatures must be punished because God is holy and just.

God is Love

God is also love and God's love rescues us from hell.  In His plan of love for us, God took on human flesh when he came to the earth as the Lord Jesus Christ.

Although none of us deserved it, God paid the price for all our sins, past, present, and future, when Jesus died on the cross of Calvary in our place.

Called

We cannot do anything to pay for the penalty for our sins or to repay God for sending His only Son to suffer in our place. This loving grace of God is undeserved and free.

To hear that we are sinners and that Jesus wants to save us means we must answer this call of God. God does not cause us to answer His invitation.  We must choose to answer it by our own free will.

New Birth

We are lost because of sin, either we must be punished or be forgiven. But, God has given us a way out of sin is we follow his Word and follow the plan of salvation set forth in Scripture.

First, Faith:

We must respond with a decision to believe with a trust in the finished work of Christ on the cross.  If Jesus has paid the

penalty for all your sins, then there is no punishment left.  (John 3:16-17; Romans 3:23, 6:23; Mark 16:16)

Second, Repentance:

This is not just feeling sorry that you have been disobedient to God.  It is a decision that you want to obey God, to please

God with what is required in the Bible, and it is a desire to refuse sin.  (Luke 13:3; Acts 2:38; Acts 3:19)

Third, Confess Jesus is your Lord:

Declare your faith is in Jesus Christ to save you and that from now on you desire to serve Him.  (Matthew 10:32; Romans

  10:9-10).

Fourth, Baptism by immersion:

This is when you are immersed in water as Jesus was when He was baptized.  The Bible says that you are crucified with

Christ, so that the payment He made for you is transferred to you.  God has made a promise to you that all your sins are

forgiven, past, present, and future, because He has washed them away.

The second thing God does when you are saved is to give you the gift of the indwelling of His Holy Spirit.   The Holy Spirit is God Himself living inside us.  From now on God lives in us to give us the power and strength to resist sin and live a life of peace, joy, and purpose.

New Life

When a person has been born again, God now dwells in the person to enable them to live God's way.  We have are a new person cleansed from sin and always forgiven.
